Playa Potrero is 175 miles from San José , 45 miles from the international airport in Liberia and 15 miles from the local airport in Tamarindo (in the Province of Guanacaste).
::: From San José: If you are coming from San José, on the Pan-American highway # 1 you will reach Palmares, San Ramón and Esparza towards Puntarenas, pass the exit to Puntarenas and continue until you see the sign to Tempisque (you will see a shell gas station on your left). Turn left and ride towards Nicoya you will cross the new Tempisque river bridge and continue driving to Nicoya . Pass Nicoya and follow the signs for Santa Cruz , after Santa Cruz follow the main road towards Belen, just before Belen there is a crossing with many signs to Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal and Potrero. Turn left and fallow the signs to Potrero
::: From Liberia, Guanacaste: Drive to Filadelfia then Belen and just passing the town there is a crossing with the signs Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal and Potrero. Turn right and follow them until you reach a town named Huacas, there follow the signs for Flamingo and then Potrero.
::: Flying from San José to Guanacaste: There are two inbound airlines, SANSA and Nature Air, both have schedule daily flights to Tamarindo, it takes 45 minutes. From there you can hire a taxi, always available at the airport or make arrangements with us to pick you up.
::: By bus: There are two companies that provide shuttle service, INTERBUS and Gray Line Tours you will take the bus in San José and they will drop you off at the Bahía del Sol Beachfront Hotel.
